Still sick, but with pictures!

So i know that i need a new knitting project like a hole in the head, but i really cant help myself. I saw venezia, the  beautiful  eunny jang sweater, through a knit-a-long on craftster. It calls for 10 colors to create the gorgeous brocade design, but i wanted to simplify it. I took the chart and turned it into 6 colors, one pattern color, and 5 back ground colors. This lovely girl took my chart and ran with it creating an awesome pink/grey/black color combo which i borrowed for my color scheme! Picture_213 I'm using mostly cashsoft and cashcotton by rowan. I'm also thinking that i am going to modify this pattern into a vest. It will really be more practical for Texas. I'll be able to wear it into the spring and then the fall. I never thought i would have two different sweater vests inprogress at the same time!

In other knitting news, i've made two of these winter headbands from knitty in the past 5 hours. Both will be christmas gifts! I have to be done with all of my christmas presents in less than a week, i leave for a cruise on the 17th and dont get home til the 24th. I'm looking forward to some fun in the sun for christmas! Knitting while tanning sounds like fun to me!
